Serbian Street Gems

I mentioned to you previously– more like ages ago- that for some reason Serbians enjoy  scribbling all over the city. And really, wherever you go around the city you’ll find stuff like this. It’s not only on walls, you can see train carts covered with amazing graffiti as well.  The city is just covered in spray paint -some are really pretty and eye catching while others are just vandalism. So here’s a bunch of pictures I’ve taken in the time that I have been in Belgrade. I spent a bit of time collecting these, and some of these pictures I find very pretty, but there is a lot more to look at and admire, and I simply couldn’t . Hope you enjoy the gallery! DSC_26521

So I did so much in the entire trip and especially in the few weeks that I missed my posting deadlines, but the only topic I could come up with as a come back post, is another Air Serbia review! (you can check the first one here!)Hopefully, this post will help me organize my thoughts, and post something about my time in Belgrade, but until then, this has to do.

I previously mentioned that I didn’t have such a pleasent experience with Air Serbia on my flight from Beirut to Belgrade; however, on the way back it was very different.

I’ve been away for so long, but that’s only because I was busy having a good time and enjoying every moment while it lasted! I’m going to share everything about Serbia soon, but differently. I want to share everything about my summer and everything I loved in Serbia! So hold on and stay tuned 🙂 What made me write this post was the fact that I’m leaving. And I actually wrote it on my way to the airport. These eight weeks were such an amazing experience for me. I shared everything with a group of people that I didn’t know, but came to cherish. I had moments I will never forget and it saddens me that everything is over. But it was over at the right time, because I am left with beautiful memories and because I really miss my family and friends.  I hope one day I can come back to the Balkans and have another great experience. But until then, it’s a big thank you to Serbia for giving me all this in such a small period of time 🙂

And now our plane is being called, so until next time … Volim te!

Week 4 In Videos!

Hello everyone ❤

So my previous post about week 4 included so many interesting activities and pictures that I felt it was too long to add these videos to it as well. So if you missed the post you should check it out here. And if you are a loyal follower then enjoy the videos 😀

This video is the Indian dance from our cultural night on Friday. It was amazing. These guys planned it and choreographed their dance; it was really enthusiastic. Their dance tempted me to gather all the Lebanese to do the dabke.

This video is the Lebanese people doing the dabke that night! It was so much fun!

Finally, this video is of a lovely group of violinists and one cellist playing on Knez Mihailova on Sunday. Phenomenal!

Hope you enjoyed the videos … See you next time ❤

The One That Marks Half-Way

So hello there everyone 🙂 You can tell from the title that week 4 is over! I am half way through my stay in the lovely Belgrade. I really have  mixed emotions about whether I want to go back right NOW or whether what I have left is so little! But hey, all good things come to an end. And I would be really happy to get back to everyone back home, especially my own bed ❤ SAM_1619

So, how was my week, 4you may ask. Very good, very good indeed! Probably my best week so far.

Tales of Belgrade

Hello once again … Did you know that down here they have a lot of interesting stories to tell you when you come for a visit. Some are full of war and pride in their heritage and their accomplishments, while others are just very funny and interesting. I’m going for the second genre today.

Learn Serbian With Me!

So as I told you in my previous post I’m starting to get acquainted with the Serbian language. I feel great satisfaction when I see that I’m learning a new language. I know I’m not going to turn pro, but I’ve picked up a few words, I can count to five and I’ve become able to read a bit more like pronounce but that’s good for me. I found out a while back that the Serbian language has two alphabets – Cyrillic and Latin. Continue reading
